With so many people wanting a passive-income lifestyle – meaning, really, that they’re free to pack up and go off for a little while without having to worry too much about work commitment – I want to suggest a few apps that you should be using to ensure that your small business and website continue to tick-on without any issues whilst you’re on the go.
These are some of the best apps for business owners – that I too use – that will help you keep your blog posts, social media, client communication, images and more all in check!
Ready to discover what apps you should be downloading onto your phone!
This one’s obvious. By having the WordPress app, you can create, edit and publish new blog posts on the move. If you’ve forgotten to schedule a post, you can quickly login and set it live; or perhaps you suddenly have an awesome idea and want to get it onto WordPress asap, well with this app on your phone, you can!
If you’re anything like me, you have long lists of blog post ideas jotted down. I have mine on Evernote, but Google Docs will work just the same. This app is where I like to draft out my initial blog posts so that I can easily share it with my editor before uploading it onto WordPress.
Having this app at hand is great for a number of reasons: you can keep a track of your scheduled blog posts, set reminders to get things done, and organise your meetings with companies and clients.
I’m going to assume that a lot of you stay in contact with your clients through email. By having the email app on your phone, you’ll have no problem getting in touch, answering questions and keeping on top of your admin work.
Skype allows us to conference call with our clients, so in case of an emergency you’ll always be able to solve their problems.
This one’s pretty obvious too right? Social media drives people to your website, so you need to keep active on it. That goes for writing Tweets, commenting on Facebook, liking others’ Instagram pictures, replying to comments, you get the idea. You need the social media apps you use.
This one links in quite nicely with the previous suggestion. By having Hootsuite on your phone, you’re all geared up to automate your tweets and Facebook posts. Spend a few minutes a night setting your posts up for the next day so that you don’t have to worry.
Just taken an amazing picture that you could post on social media? VSCO allows you create amazing edits on your phone so that you’re ready to post away! You can also plan out your Instagram feed in advance.
So now you know some of my favorite apps for business owners. What other apps do you use to keep your business running? Let us know in the comments below.
